He's well versed with Neo Soul, 70's Soul, Gospel, Standards and Fusion. Robert is an accomplished pianist with many credits to his name. His style is reminiscent of Errol Garner, Gene Harris and Keith Jarrett. He also plays many Jazz standards and popular tunes in his own style. Robert’s roots are Gospel from the Baptist church, this is where Robert cut his teeth as a pianist. Along with this he received his technical training from Los Angeles City College and California State University Sacramento. Robert has been very blessed to have worked with such noteable artists as: Chico Debarge, Jessica Simpson, Japan Mass Choir, Stevie Wonder, Jon B, Ronnie Laws, Loose Ends, The Temptations, Ndambi, Jaguar Wright, Nobility, Nikki Gilbert, Lena, Nysa Shaney, Glenn Lewis, Slum Villiage, Roshawn Patterson, Amel Larrieux, Charles Owens, John Heard, Alphonse Mouzon, Janet DuBois, Unwrapped all-stars, Kevin Toney, Ron Brown, Kharon Harrison, D-Notes, Ryan Cross, Stokely of Mint Condition, Madame D, Natalie Cole, Jazzzone, Byron Miller and he’s the House pianist for The "Steve Harvey Talent Show" in Los Angeles. Robert has spent a significant amount of time working and playing in Shanghai, China. He was the featured artists with the Shanghai Symphony. He performed at: JZ Jazz & the Wai Tan Yuan Summer Music Festivals, the Mao House live concert, and performed regularly at the Melting Pot Restaurant, as well as teaching at Shanghai’s “JZ’s” school. Robert is a real warm musician who enjoys music and loves the Lord.
